Adrenaline-fuelled 2D skiing
Just like Canabalt, Solipskier is a game all about forward motion. Guide a crazed headphone-wearing skier along a piste of your own making, nailing as many jumps and drops as you can manage without allowing the skier to fall out of the screen altogether.
All you need to do in Solipskier is drag your finger across the screen to make your ski route, and the skier will follow behind. Let go and you'll stop creating snow, but if you do it after a jump your skier will perform tricks in the air, increasing your score.
There are obstacles a long the way, and while the graphics are simple, there are some neat touches as you go along, and the sound is very well designed. The wind can be heard behind the metal soundtrack, increasing as you go faster. Solipskier is connected to OpenFeint, the online score system, so you can compare your runs with other players. There are no extra game modes though, but it's addictive enough as it is.
If you're looking for a simple arcade game that you can play quickly, but will keep you coming back for more, Solipskier is a fantastic choice.
